Vicky caught the book bug whilst studying the History of British Publishing at Aberystwyth University. She went on to work for Hammicks Bookshops (now Waterstones via Ottakers) before leaving to work in Communications for The British Heart Foundation.
There she met Teri Smyth, had a child (though not as a direct result) and moved back up North from whence she came. There she set up ‘The Art Angels’ a children's art and craft company specialising in parties and workshops. She lives on a farm on the moors between Bolton and Bury with her partner Barry, her son Charlie, an enormous dog called Wookie and a whole herd of cows.

Teri has always had a passion for reading. After Teri left school she enrolled at Epsom Art College (where she met her long suffering husband) and then continued her studies at Central St Martins. It was there she discovered London and the joy of shopping which resulted in her working for HMV.
Teri soon spread her wings and went to work for The British Heart Foundation creating and designing printed materials for them and as chance may have it she was lucky enough to meet Vicky Connor. They quickly became friends after discovering a shared love of art, music, literature, film, chocolate and shopping. Teri lives in Surrey with her husband Matt where they sing and play music together. Teri is also the in-house illustrator for Clementine Publishing.
A printer's daughter from Lancashire, Dawn has always been fascinated by everything about books. So after she left Oxford University in 1992 with an MA in English Language and Literature her passion guided her career and became PA to the Chairman of an information and statistics book publishing company. Wanting to get closer to the books themselves though she joined the editorial team for the US and UK editions of The Guinness Book of Records.
Dawn then went on to set up her own business and edited books on tropical fish, copyright law, pensions, tax, golf, kittens, puppies and advertising. She also enjoyed some report-writing and advising on the publication of CDROMs for legal reference.
A move up North and the birth of her three children have taken her love for the printed word in a different direction and she now indulges her book-lust heartily as a home-educating mum.
